    Accreditation

    The baccalaureate degree program in engineering at Hesston College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission Institutional Action Council. This allows Hesston College to offer a Bachelor of Science in engineering with a mechatronics track, totaling 126 credit hours.

    Majoring in mechatronics engineering

    • At Hesston College, engineering is greater than just class work. Students learn the design principles necessary to succeed in the field. Students have helped build solar ovens and robots, and improved efficiency of the college.
    • Hesston College has well-equipped facilities that support engineering education in a variety of ways. On the software side students have access to Solidworks, Multisim, MATLAB, LabVIEW and Mathematica among others. Our campus is also home to multiple 3D printers and a dynamic robotic workshop.

Copy of photo page of current passport

Please send the following:

high school transcripts

high school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary studies (for those who have completed secondary studies at the time of application)

national exam scores

college or university transcripts, if applicable

A professional transcript evaluation may be required. This will be at the cost of the applicant.

Evidence of English language proficiency is required. Hesston College accepts these minimum scores:

400 – Paper Based TOEFL (PBT)

32 – Internet Based TOEFL (iBT)

4.5 – International English Language Testing System (IELTS)

350 – TOEIC

2.5 – International Test of English Proficiency (iTEP)

54 – Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB)

Pre-2 – STEP EIKEN test

700 – Global Test of English Communication-Based Testing (GTEC CBT) Japan

Successful completion of Level 4 at an ELS Language Center

Hesston College waives the English proficiency test score requirement in the following situations:

Student is a native English speaker

Student attended a U.S. high school*

Student attended a high school or university in which all classes were taught in English*

Items marked with a * meet acceptance requirement but an Institutional English proficiency test will be required on arrival for class placement. There is not charge to the student for this test.

A phone or video interview may be required.

Evidence of adequate financial resources (bank statement, letter, etc), which shows the availability of funds for a minimum of the first year of study at Hesston College. Additionally, any sponsors involved supporting a student financially will be required to provide the Hesston College International Admissions office a letter of financial commitment to the student.

Advance payment (deposit) may be required.

Available International Scholarships

International Scholarship. . . . .$8,000

All international students will receive an International Scholarship. The amount varies according to the economy and exchange rate of the country and the personal need of the student. The student is automatically qualified for this scholarship by applying to Hesston College.

Academic Scholarship. . . . .$6,000 to $15,000

The amount of this scholarship is dependent on the student’s high school grade point average. The student is automatically qualified for this scholarship by applying to Hesston College and submitting high school transcripts.

Advanced English Scholarship. . . . .$2,000

This scholarship is awarded to any student who achieves above the following English proficiency test scores:

Schowalter Foundation Scholarship. . . . .starting at $500

This scholarship is provided by a grant from the Schowalter Foundation. It is awarded to highly qualified international students who have significant financial need. The scholarship is awarded as funds are available. Apply early.
